There are almost 17 million services and products available on the 40 different gsa schedule. So, comfortably there is a schedule for every kind of businesses and the opportunist will never lose a chance to grab it.

The gsa schedule is the contracting vehicle both for the vendor and federal buyer. The schedules are the contracts with the commercial firms to provide the federal and the federal agencies to millions of products and services available commercially at a huge discounted price.
It is prestigious for the vendor as well as it proves that the company is suitable for Federal standards and has reasonable pricing. However, they can derive more from the schedule and perform much better in the commercial market.

The five-year term plan

The five- year term is the time period where the contract awarded is valid for 5 years. The elite vendor will be offering the federal government the best and pre approved prices. After the term expires, the vendor can again try to win the GSA schedule.
Well, there is a guarantee that the GSA will use the contract, however, getting on the schedule is not easy at all. There are instances where companies have spent thousands of dollars and years of time but they did not win the contract.

To get on the GSA schedule confidently, it is the common way to hire a consulting firm for guidance and navigation. They are an expert who not only suggests the best suitable schedule but also help in the documentation process. They do really throw away the stress from the gsa schedule and provide the valuable guidance.
However, it is not mandatory to hire consulting firms to get on the schedule, but the number of application rejection is the foremost reason to hire them.
