Where to Look for the GSA Schedule List

The GSA Schedule is the contracting vehicle between Federal and the vendor companies. It creates long-term contracts between the federal and the commercial firms to purchase millions of goods and services.

The vendors need to get on the appropriate GSA Schedule to enter the program. There are hundreds of schedules for millions of goods and services. It is sometimes possible that a single product or service is eligible for more than one schedule. Also, sometimes a schedule is in the frozen or dormant stage which means no business or approval for the applicant.
To understand the status and details regarding the program, it is advised to read the list for the schedules. The list is updated by the GSA regularly and has all the information regarding latest happenings, events, and updates for the program.

The application to get on the GSA Schedule should be prepared very carefully. The GSA rejects more than half of the applications it receives due to incomplete information or the company is not found eligible. The applicant needs to do a detailed research and find out every detail about it.
The popular sources are the GSA e-library, GSA list, GSA Auctions, and even GSA Advantage if possible. This will give a fair idea to the program and the way the federal market operates. It is completely different from the commercial market.
The vendor spends a lot of time and effort to get on the program, and therefore it means a huge loss if the application is rejected.
